Ander belangrike fragmente sluit in drie feitlik volledige gedigte, Fragmente 16, 31 en 58. Wie een Sapfo-fragment vindt, weet dat er veel media-aandacht zal zijn – dit stukje is een voorbeeld – en zal dus dubbel controleren of alles klopt. Ik heb niet de indruk dat dit is gebeurd.

Vasilis Grenfell och Hunt har gett ordet åt Sapfo. Två dagar senare röstar Överhuset i London mot lagförslaget om rösträtt för kvinnor. Sapfo, fragment 16 Lobel-Page Dikten, Fragment 31, omfattar fyra strofer och är skrivet på sapfisk strof, en antik versmått uppkallat efter Sapfo.

I övrigt vet man inte så mycket om henne. Det mesta är gissningar och tolkningar av fragment man hittat efter henne.
